How does this 300sd look?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1980-Mercedes-300SD-Low-Mileage-Rust-Free_W0QQitemZ110054633542QQihZ001QQcategoryZ6330QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I will probably look at this 300sd soon... It looks nice, but the heat/ac works out of the defrost vents only, does this sound like the monovalve is broken, or the expensive climate control servo? What do you see that is wrong with the car, and what would be expected for repair costs for a year (if the car is in said condition) Thanks for your input.

"The only flaws are that the heat and A/C only come out of the defrost vent. This happens to most of these cars apparently."

Yes it does and it is more ($$) than just a monovalve fix.

It does look nice though. Identical to my '79 W116.

Looks nice! If it was rust free which is a big if with a W116, and he has a proof of the new engine it could be a real good buy. Nice car I'd pay a few grand for it.

no picture of the most wear prone area on the outside upper bolster on the backrest of the drivers seat.

i hate it when they omit pics of that place.
