What's the difference between an '86 and "87 SDL?

Besides one is a year older . Do they have the same engine (603)? Same chassis? TIA

I think the '86 did not get the cat converter in the exhaust when you got rid of the trap oxidizer.

If you get a 87 with a CAT, just cut out the CAT, put in a straight pipe, as it will eventually plug and then the engine doesn't run (ie start!!) til you get rid of the CAT,. (and believe me you will never think of it being the CAT!!!)
