Tie Rods

Will be rebuilding my front end soon and am in the process of ordering the parts. My question is do I need to replace the tie rods in assemblys or can I order three lefts and three rights and reuse the tie rod shafts and save some money?

The center link is usually one piece (ends welded on.) The outer assemblies are usually cheaper than the ends purchased individually.

I replaced a tie rod end, the whole thing, around $25.00. Don't bother with reusing rods.

Replace the whole rod, shop around I have bought a pair around $35 to 40 smackers. Check the steering link shock while you are at it too/Tom

Exactly what I did.. It's easier to just count threads and bolt in the new ones and pop down 120$ for an alignment.

will the ball joints be replaced as well? and the upper control arms as well? The ball joints will need to be pressed in at the dealership since the autozone press will not work without slight modification...
