Trans Does Not Stay In Hi Gear
WELL I JUST GOT DONE INSTALLING A TURBO MOTOR FROM AN SD INTO MY 300D TURBO. INSTALL WENT GREAT, IT FIRED UP INSTANTLY NO CRANKING AT ALL. I SHIFT INTO REVERSE AND ALLS WELL, INTO DRIVE GOOD TOO. BUT I COULD NOT FEEL IT SHIFT, IT FEELS LIKE IT STAYED IN 1ST GEAR. I WAS AT 35 OR SO AND WENT TO GIVE IT A LITTLE MORE PEDAL AND SLAM INTO 1ST AND THE RPMS WENT HI BUT NO SHIFT OR GO? PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS SOMETHING I CAN DO?
THE FLUID IS DIRTY BUT FULL. I TRIED ADJUSTING THE KICKDOWN CABLE BUT GOT NOTHING. PLEASE ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT. |

Sorry for the caps, I'm just used to it.
I'll try the mod valve with my mighty vac, and check for restrictions. I just bought the car for my wife with a possible bad motor. It had good compression, but the head gasket was blown. The trans was known good. I also have spare trans, but wanted to keep it as a spare for later. |
