A wiggle sometimes works

On some days, I can sense each of the nearly 22 years my car has lived.

Recently, I started getting a flickering of dashlights and thought I was having alternator problems. I know that it had been rebuilt with a new voltage regulator so I was really curious about the problem.

I was relieved when the lights stopped all the flickering, but a day later my "antilock" light came on and not flickering ... it was steady on.

I had had front and rear brakes done recently and called my indy mechanic who told me to bring in by and he'd look at it right away.

After a trip over there, he popped the hood and opened the fuse box and checked the antilock brake relay and his test light showed the circuits were good ... but he showed me that the relay was wiggling in the socket.

He wiggled it and asked if the dash light was out ... It was. He showed me where it was likely a bad connection and suggested I keep an eye on it. And guess what ... NO Charge!!!

As a great diesel technician and a gifted mechanic, he oftens gives advice for DIY projects that have saved me hundred of bucks.

If you're ever near Villa Rica in West Georgia (35 miles west of Atlanta), check out 4 N Auto Service or call Michael at 770-456-1944. He's brilliant and honest. Could you ask for more?

P.S. I did pay for the brake job, so I'm a "grateful" paying customer.
