Trying to duplicate funky trans. shift
I had a vacuum line pop off a couple of weeks ago and it made the trans shift poorly. I have been trying to find that same vacuum line again to replace it and I CAN'T FIND IT I have been pulling off vac. lines one at a time and test driving for the last 45 min. and none of them seem to affect the tranny. It was only one line that had popped off to cause the poor shifting. Anyone know which one it could have been? I tried the one on the bottom of the amplifier and the one that comes off the top side of the amp. Neither seemed to affect shifting. Help I don't want to be on a trip and have this happen again so I would like to find the offending line. I guess what I'm asking is which single vac line has a dramatic effect on shifting of the trans? It was easy to get to because I remember seeing it with just the hood open.

The one that runs to the vacuum modulator on the tranny comes to mind...

Which one is that? I realize one end is at the modulator valve on the trans. but where is the other end? The one I re-attached was easily accessible under the hood.
