124 Seat switch - the little B-stard!

the passenger seat is no longer going backwards on my 1992 300D 2.5 TUrbo 214.128.

So I took the switch box out and took the cover off, and now I can't get the little rascal of a switch open to clean the contacts. It has got me totally bamfoxeld and bamfoozled.

How do I get the cover off the switch (pic attached.)

PLEEESE! I'm going crazy.....

Thanks for the quick reply, but I tried that already. Lots of contact cleaner and switching, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference.

I haven't been able to find out which contacts on the 6 contact switch go to it - they don't change conductivity at all. But forward does work, becuase the motor clicks when you push it forward (seat is allllll the way forward).

Any ideas how to open the switch (pic in first post)?????

solved

NEver could get that switch open, so I put a LOT of switch cleaner in and jiggled a LOT. And then it worked.

Back in the wife's good books. Yippeee!
