2 new to me MB's in one week. Wow!!

Terrible happenings turn out ok, for now.

Incident #1: driving to work in the flagship, my 350sdl and I hit a deer at 65 mph. Dead deer. Smashed up car. hood bucked, driver's headlight, grille, radiatior, condenser, etc. gone. When accident happened, car wouldn'g shut off. just sat there idling a 650, oil at 2+ bar, water temp ?? as gage gone. had to use jack between bumper and hood to open hood enough to reach for shut off to kill engine. At body shop, owner says car is way to nice to total it, and adjuster agrees, no rust, good wax good, good interior. car to be fixed at cost $5K. Wife and I agree to buy a beater MB to run to work and not use the flagship after its fixed up. So I buy a 85 300sd on ebay, runs good, and dropped off at indy to check out.

That weekend, we are hit on a quiet sunday morning by a Lexus LS30 as a guy goes through a light crosses 2 lanes of traffic while talking on his cell phone. Admits that to the cops. cited for driving in the wrong lane, driving inattentive and not haveing vehicle under control Wife breaks wrist,, I get knocked out and come up with a few cracked vertabrae. Wife's car, a 92 Plymouth is totaled.
Need another car. Can't use the 71 or 83 as they are manuals, thus the need for another automatic. Found a nice 93 300d 2.5 turbo on craigslist one owner so went ahead and bought that. Well the 93 has no suprises, drives nice and only 128K.

So, the good and bad. will post pics later of my poor baby and new cars.

WEAR YOUR SEATBELTS, AS THEY ARE LIFESAVERS, AND STAY OFF THE DAMN CELL WHILE DRIVING....
