No kidding! Using brake fluid for these proposed purposes (swelling bushings and "fixing" window seals) is one of the worst ideas I've ever seen on a message board.

best to use an adhesive that will cure non tack and that is not silicone.

I re sealed the windshield on my benz with 3M window weld super fast eurethane. pt no. 0 51135-08609 It does not remain sticky and so far has done a good job.

Urethane is suppose to be the best material for windshields...
