What is the most cost effective headlight upgrade for the 124?
I have a pair of Hella 100/80 watt (off road only ) bulbs that will fit. I think I will need an upgrade to the wiring to handle the extra wattage. Is there a better solution? Euro lights, Silverstars? Or should I bite the bullet and buy a HID conversion on ebay? The Hella bulbs were pretty cheap, I think only $6-8 each, plus the wiring kit ($20) and I'm set for less than $35.

There's definitely a discussion thread about this that you can find in a search, as I looked it up just a couple of days ago. The end feeling seemed to be that no adequate HID system existed, so it was better to put the money into high output traditional bulbs with appropriate wiring upgrades (including relays) and potentially a better alternator. As I recall, GSXR has one of the best setups and he's certainly easy to find on here.
