Can you guys that have changed yours post how many miles you had on the car? Also, was there any noticeable damage or failure to the old mounts when you removed them? Just curious what the bad ones looked like as I have a 1996 e300d with 113k miles and wondering if I would benefit greatly in changing them?

~195k on mine, I think they were original.

You can measure to determine if they are collapased. You should have between 13 & 17mm when measuring from the top rim down to the next lower rim. Find a 13mm bolt and use its head to measure with.

Did mine at 100,000 miles. Photos posted of old/new in Post #25.

When I did mine, they didn't look cracked or anything. However, I noticed that my steering wheel didn't vibrate like it used to before the switch.

If your steering wheel vibrates even slightly when idling in N, you should change them. With new mounts, the wheel will be pretty much still.
