1980 300d with servo....NO heat..options?
I have a 1980 300D with non heat and I have the dreaded servo. What are the trouble shooting steps and what are my options on upgraded replacements or a bypass system that allows me to keep a/c. I need the a/c here in FL I only need heat maybe 2 months a year.

There are lots of options, but the best is probably to purchase a replacement Servo. BTW, you can find those kits for a lot less than $600.

I would hesitate to get anything from somebody who gouges you so much on shipping. When I got my '77 300D parts car, there was a manual valve with a turn-knob for directing coolant flow to heater core. Then you just have to make sure you have fan control.......

I installed a cable operated heater valve for under 20 bucks.

that appears to be the Unwired conversion kit which member moorewr seems to be happy with. Will consider it myself depending on the assessment of the body of my 300SD
