I have a 1982 300D Turbo Mercedes Benz what are the odds the air conditioner and cruise control work? I know when I push the cruise control nothing happens at all cause this be the computer it self or something else. And the AC how can you tell when you need a new compressor or something or just some freon.

small, independent a/c shop, one where you can go in and talk to the guy doing the work. Let them check it out and usually you can find out what all needs done.

If you look at the thread intitled " 82 300TD A/C Problem" you will see some advice I posted there, I don't want to take up more room posting it again. In addition to the compressor test I sugested, check your fuses and replace any that look suspect. Good luck.
