thinkin of sellinf my 79 300SD

I have too many cars and the insurance is killin me! Wanted to see if anyone had interest in one of these, I also have a 1980, same car, but my lady drives it everyday and we love it so, gotta sell the 79. its federal so, no egr too-

has about 200k miles, shifts good, grey, I'm in California, about an hour east of Stockton in the foot hills - checking here first so, there ya go-

anyway, does any one know a good place for alingment? I've taken it to two places, a local guy here, almost pointless, and Big O, and I have called around my tri county area and no one up here seems to be confident, much less expirienced whith these. My 80 is pretty sloppy compared to the 79, after having something to compare it to, i really want to take care of it. I changed my track rods and ends which helped a lot, but every where around here just wants to set tow, and not actually do the job right.

thanks

The dealership is the best place to get the alignment done.

Well, an appointment with an MB dealership for work is normal procedure. The only time I do a walk in is for the parts counter only.

And I prefer to ogle the SL65 AMG.

agree.. service center or dealership

I have a 1980 300SD and did a complete (DIY) overhall of the front end last year. I'd recommend having a service center do this job for you as there are 'so many adjustments' on these old benz's... + 4 wheel alignment...
mine is doing great.

Not always true though! My local dealership charged $70 bucks, which was the cheapest quote I found. But most importantly, they have coffee and donuts.
