Some Pics

Here’s the pictures that were requested of the filter I used along with the install. Nothing fancy, but maybe a little more protection.

Sorry it took me so long to post the pics.

I have read the thread but still unclear on one question.

How do you know when adding this extra filter the added resistance is not going to cause the injection pump to suffer?

I guess it is kinda when your filter get clogged and you have to change them cause there is too much restriction and enough fuel does not get to the injection pump.Is driving around constantly with the added resistance going to cause anything to go out faster? like the injection pump?

The added resistance is all upstream from the injection pump. The added burden would be borne by the fuel pump, which already "overdelivers" by design.

I installed this on my car on Saturday so I can run bio diesel as well. I do not know about WVO capabilities on this.

I have put 500 miles on it so far, so good.

Where is the fuel pump located?

Some cold weather tips:
1. Make it a habit to look at and/or drain the bowl when you shut off the engine. A year-round habit of this isn't a bad idea - in winter it can take a while for the bowl to thaw out.

And for the heater option:
1. Be carefull how you wire it. You want it on a circuit that is shut off with the key.
2. Some truckers up here go to the trouble of installing a 120VAC to 12VDC power supply so that they can "plug it in" with the engine heaters - you need to size the power supply properly. The engine loves a shot of warm fuel when it's -30F. Most with this install have a switch that the operator throws from AC to engine power just before starting up.

My Standyne setup with the drainable water bowl is working just fine. No water issues yet, no underfueling issue either.

Except for seeing it under the hood, you'd never know mine was there. No change in performance, and I have yet to change the filter.

I installed a Fuel/Water separator today. It's from a 1992 Isuzu NPR.

I wired the water sensor to turn on the brake pad wear light.

the fm100 for instance is $88, when you can find it various places for close to half that. stanadyne is awesome though otherwise..

His forum is also just peddle his products more than help owners.

Here was his e-mail after he deleted all my posts and banned me from his forums for helping people without them buying his $25 manuals:
