water allover the floor!!!!! w124

I guys, i removed all the carpets of the car for an overall cleaning only to find that the botom ones, the ones with the sponge, were completly soaked and the water passed to the rear passenger floor too!!!!!!!!!!

I traced the water and found out that the water that goes in the battery well exits fine to the floor but some gets diverted and exits through a fissure to the foot wells making a fish tank, i sealed it with silicon sealant, do you think it's the solution? Anyone with the same problem?
