Maybe in DFW area?
My little 240D had an odd style fan installed under the passenger kick panel area. It was held in place by one 8mm screw and 2 bungee cords!!
The squirrel cage sounds like it is rubbing on something, so I went ahead and removed it. Too bad, cause it looks almost brand new. It is taller than the one for the W123.
It would be quite a stroke of luck if somebody has an extra, and needs one like this, but I'm not holding my breath. But I do need a fan.
Neither of my parts car has one........

I actually had one I got from a forum member a couple of years back, but is was very oxidized and won't hardly turn. I took it apart with out much trouble (after I figured out how) and the bearings just won't loosen up. Motor can isn't really made to be taken apart......
Squirrel cage can be removed by using it as the supporting surface, and pounding shaft down and out with the motor.

Got one from a 1983 300D, is that of use to you?

(Mine's got zip ties on the squirrel cage, so I'm thinking that only the fan motor is good here- but it blows air ferociously!)
