Looking for the Mercedes diesel guru mechanic in the Dallas Texas area. Suggestions ?

Hello Everyone.

Do you know a really good Mercedes diesel mechanic in the Dallas Texas area ?

I am looking for the best mechanic there is for the 1980's Mercedes diesel engines.

Do you know a mechanic that you would consider a diesel Guru ?

Its for a weird little project I am trying to put together for some friends.

Who would you suggest ???

Thank you.

JimmyL.

Oh, wait. He's a forum member. You mean someone that you can hire? Ask, JimmyL and Hit_Man_X --- they both live near Dallas. Also, check the Shops forum --- it has recommendations from folks regarding shops.

Good Luck.

you know....

Hey RichC --- you know if you are putting together a little diesel project, then a real Mercedes Diesel mechanic may not be the person for you. He's got to make a living. It almost sounds like you want someone to "tinker" on a project for you.

Im trying to put something interesting together for a few local Mercedes enthusiast friends.

No real plans yet, just trying to come up with ideas.
Things that people would enjoy.

What would you like to see ?

----------------
I have been playing in the open discussion area long enough,
and have gotten bored with that.

Trying to change gears, and come up with something fun to occupy my time.

Capisci.

My thought was to contact the good local mechanics, and see if they wanted to
come to some sort of get together.

Help them get to know more local merceds owners, and visa versa.

Definatly pay them for their time,
and take suggestions from them about what they would want to do.
If they wanted to do a demonstration, or give us hints and tips, etc..
Or simply sit and enjoy the food and music.

If you think this guy would not be interested, I do not want to bother him.
