Arrow Bosch Service Dealers

Folks,

I see a lot of threads relating to Fuel Injectors and Injection Pumps, mostly relating in some way to having the pump or injectors tested.....here is the link to the Bosch website's dealer locator...

www.boschservice.com/ServiceLocations/DieselServiceDealer/Diesel+Service+Dealer.htm

Hope that this helps someone...

SB

Injector Testing

I've had this '85 300D-T for several months now.....and I am intending to have my injectors tested and set as part of my December M&R list....

I looked up the Bosch Service Dealer in West Virginia, and posted this thread...

Since then, I phoned the only Bosch Dealer in WV......asked about his charges.....he told me that they would test pop my injectors at no cost, FREE,.......and I would have to pay for any labor if they required setting and for any necessary parts......BUT.....he informed me of 2 Fuel Injection Shops that are closer to me.....recommended both although neither are presently Bosch Dealers (one used to be Bosch)......

Also told me to run some Standyne Performance Formula thru my injectors, before having them tested (I am having a slight nailing when engine is cold).....told him I did the LM Diesel Purge, which he was familiar with.....he said try it because Standyne is FI Pump manufacturer, so here is the link for that product.....

www.stanadyne.com/new/ppt/showfile.asp?id=1295

so that's what I intend to do.....run the Standyne Performance Formula....and if the nailing when cold dosen't get better.....pull and test/set the injectors....

If the LM didn't work the Stanadyne surely won't
there's nothing in that stuff that's any better than anything else out there

LM - fo shizzle it's fo rizzle

hmm, the Bosch site shows these guys as my closest bosch service agent. I think my injectors might be a little too small for them.

You just made my day! That was funny.
Believe it or not though, I bet they'd do the test on the injectors for you.

Those letters stand for different Injection Pump design styles......don't worry, they will be able to do your Benz Injection stuff......and more than likely they will have the parts necessary for common repairs in stock....

I would highly recommend visiting the shop, sometime when you have a slow day......you will learn much, just from a look see.....

I worked at an Injection shop for a few months, shortly after I tretired.....and even tho I had rebuilt many myself....assigned someone to rebuild, or sen't injectors ashore for repair.....I was impressed by the scope and precision of the repair facility that I was employed at.....

I also prefer to work on the injectors of a size that requires a chain hoist to move......kinda like the Wartsila web link, and they would be able to work on little stuff as well.....

I would look into these guys.....in NOLA (Harvey)

www.jeffersondiesel.com/home.html

A side note.....I went to Harvey (NOLA) for Thanksgiving....it was my first trip since Katrina......I didn't know how much I missed WWOZ.....seriously tho, I am sorry that Katrina happened to y'all.....I had not imagined the scope of the damage to both the physical property and to the human psyche....everyone that I know in the area has been "changed"......some are gone....those that remain are still in various stages of shock/overstress.....

Right on Shorebilly. Those guys look the business.

And I hear ya. I was one of the lucky ones. Only lost a 1991 Honda Civic in the flood. Other friends lost everything, but most if not all are still in surprisingly good spirits and forging ahead. Part of New Orleans people making New Orleans what it is.
