CCU Bulbs
Anyone know where I can get those little bulbs that emit light to the CCU through the fiber optic like tubes? They are very small bulbs. There is a spider that one plugs into behind the CCU unit. I need 2 or 3 bulbs and I did not see them in Phil's catalogue. A brief search turned up a sylvania 2721 bulb but it was for a 240D. Are they the same? Thanks!

The 74's are what you need. However, I note that they are now missing the clear 74 incandescent. I did get a few of the LED's. Some fit.......some don't. |
NAPA Part # 17037
They're listed as the auto trans bulb I think, but, as you know, there are quite a few of them behind the dash. The same bulb is used in a number of other Europeans cars, many auto parts stores on either coast have them in stock.

As quoted from Phil
In Special Order parts order number 228875094 Frosted 1.2 watt bulb $1.20 EACH
Put the wrong bulb in there, and it'll melt the sockets. You'll never know til it burns out, and you try to replace the bulb. Guess how I know that one.. ;) |
I got mine from the stealership. I don't think they were much more than $1/piece so not outrageous.
