Problem w/glowplug light-it flickers w/ engine rpm!
I've been driving my diesel (84 300D) in this frigid cold weather, and for the first time I've actually been using the plug in engine warmer. Well, I notice today when starting it that the glowplug light didn't go out, instead it faded away. Then I startedit, and while driving the glowplug light will flicker or flash with the engine rpm's, and at around 2500 it will just stay lit, and then back down again when I slow to a stop. At idle the light is off. When I got home (1.5 mile drive) I stropped the car and started it again, and the glowplug light will go on in position II but will only flash once and go off. I'm going to clean all the contact tomorrow and see what happens, but has anyone had this experience or know what it might be? I'd appreciate any help or direction.

Usually a filckering GP light means you have a bad glow plug. Go through and check them all and see what you find.
