I saw those bundts at the junkyard a few weeks ago. They look like bundts but are actually just hubcaps (like the usual 240 colored ones). They clip on to the steel rim. There were a set in the car's trunk- I checked them out but they look cheesy.

Hate to be a skeptic...

...but something is up w/ those photos. If you look at the car featured in the last few photos, where the hood is up and the doors are open, you can clearly see severe rust in the lower front quarter panels that is absent in the earlier photos. Also, the car featured in the earlier photos appears to have real (as opposed to fake) bundt rims. I think there are either two cars, or the earlier photos are "doctored."

Anyone else see what I'm talking about??? Or am I... ??

Wow good call! I noticed that too! I bet the last few pics are of a different car, it certainly looks that way. Maybe the seller had two different yellow 240's he sold and accidentally mixed in some of the pics of the other one. That'd be my guess. Hopefully the one he's selling is the one in all the beginning pics and not the one in the last few....

That is not the original speedo either. Notice it is not the style with the little stainless cover over the center of speedo needle hub.....

**edit**
Also, I can't tell if the car is different, but the wheels sure are. Notice, the pics with the real bundts have wheel weights, of course the fake bundt hubbies do not......
Also, seller with no feedback history, with a hugely overpriced example.......

Wow!!!! I didn't even look at his "but it now"... Almost $6k for a rusted out 240 with a big dent in the side!

If THAT'S the going rate, I'd be happy to sell my rust free '84 Volvo for $7.5k.... And that must make Scar worth at least $2k, right Jimmy??

I asked the seller a question about which car was being sold in this auction and went into detail about the hubcaps versus the aluminum wheels and the rusty quarters versus the dented door, and the response was...

?

and that's all.
I responded to the answer with a threat about serious answers or a fraud report to ebay... we shall see what the response to that is.

seller responded to my query as follows:

The exterior was probably rephotographed after the wheels were cleaned and resprayed. Same with any body damage on the wheel-wells, which we have professionally repaired on all of our vehicles, if necessary. The only blemish that is yet to be pulled is the small dent on the passenger, rear door. One car.

so the wheels were "resprayed" and this turned them from steel wheels with hubcaps to aluminum wheels? and I can assume from that response that major bondo work was done to the wheelwells and repainted, but the dent was left in the door... RIIIIGHT.
