i started my hand toward the front of the engine and wedged it back to where i could get to the 4th gp was not a nice way to do it but it worked.... i was using the tips of my fingers to do the work. my leisurly activity is rock climbing so i am good with the tips of my fingers. and my day job is massage therapy.

I got a metric set with a pivot on the ratchet end from Lowes. Takes me less than half the time to do a complete glow plug R&R.
