Diesel fuels....???
15 years of diesel cars and boats...............
I have discovered that subtle alterations, changes, filter changes, even fuel station changes, reflect changes to the diesel engine. While these changes are not immediate, there is a difference in sound (NAILING) and performance. I ran marine diesel fuel in my 300D this past summer and it ran like ****! It took two tank fulls of gas station diesel to return to normal. Also, subtle changes to any part of the diesel fuel distribution system seem to make large changes....................... Anyone else notice? |

Mercedes engine as marine boat?
Since you have experience in this field, have you ever or heard of anyone that has used a mercedes diesel engine as a marine engine? I thought it might be a fun project to undertake given I find the right boat for the right price to do it. thanks

There was a thread on this recently. There's at least one company that has marinized MB diesels.
