99 E300 TURBO trans shifting
Does anyone know why the boost pressure drops after shifting and then quickly rises again?

I think for the same reason you let off the throttle when upshifting a manual; to prevent slipping as you enter a higher gear.
Under heavy thottle from standing start my upshifts have a delay to them, very much like shifting a MT. The increased hp/torque provided by your chip may exaggerate your sense of that delay. Are you complaining?

I am definately not complaining. After the chip it is less noticeable. I was just curious because none of my other cars did it and I thought maybe the computer was involved somehow.
