Did you get to take it out on the road and drive it? 1000 seems low for how it looks.

Where is the car Sash

Looks like Harper Woods? East Detroit? Grosse Pointe?

Buy it! Or have your co-worker sell it to me!

It sounds as though it needs motor mounts. That trim piece would not be rattling otherwise.

I'd pay $1000 based on what I've seen.

Good luck.

It looks great for $1000, clean inside and out, and it has the 1986-1991 stock MB wheels, which look nicer and are easier to keep clean than the 1981-85 bundts.

Are there any records on the car. If you check the "buyers guide" www.mbcoupes.com there are some maintenance hints and suggestions for care hidden in there.

MAN! look at that leather on the seats! fantastic! I love that color leather. it is definately a garaged car. STEAL at 1000.00 even with needing a new radiator and a few glow plugs. change the oil quick. and get some G05 antifreeze in there.
I will give you 1000.00 for the seats!

Score for a Grand. 2 year old fuel and 25c degrees, probably didn't even have to double glow. Ditto on change all the fluids, don't forget the rear diff. Good Luck with her, you better start reading the archives what's a glowplug

Thumbs up

Seems good to me. My how fifteen hole wheels REALLY clean up the first Gen S-class.

Wow, nice car, glad to see a Michigan one in that good of shape! $1000, why can't I find a deal like that!? That engine sounds almost just like mine, rugged and more than glad to be running even in cold temps. After the first minute or so in cold temps, a 617 sounds tough and rugged when idling. Its saying "I have enough heat built up now, bring it on. Ja."

Very nice score, Sash.

Just hang out here and you'll learn everything you need to know about keeping that car running well and fixing things as they break.

Fear not the search function! It is your friend.
