Upper control arm bushing

The Left upper control arm bushing is gone...Judging by my limited skills on suspension forces, this looks like a fairly straight forward job ... remove the nut, bang and slide out the bolt, the arm drops a bit or support arm in position with shims, remove the old bushings, install
the new and try to put the bolt through the bushing, metal tube, and final bushing. Tighten nut ... sounds like a 20 minute job but will really take me a hour ........ Am I in the ball park on this job ?????....

I will also change the upper left, it looks not well .....
TIA

I did those on my '85. Yes, it's pretty straight forward.

Yup, easy job. I'd recommend replacing the whole arm though. It's only about $25 more. Hose the nuts down with some penetrating oil the day before and then before you do the job. Those bolts can suck.

Are you talking about the control arm bushings or the sway bar bushings?
It doesn't make sense to replace the control arm bushings because the ball joint is probably shot too. Just replace the whole arm and do the control arm bushings at the same time.

Might as well replace the top sway bar mounts while you have every thing apart. The ones under the battery box and the fuse box. These will help the handling also.
