Suspension eye
Can the two bolts that holds the suspension eye can handle both the engine and transmission ? I just finished rebuilding my 87 300 D Turbo. First i pulled the head and then decided to to rebuild the the whole engine and pulled the lower case with the transmission. Now i'm scared of putting it back to the car Cuz I noticed there are only two intake bolts that is holding the suspension eye to lift the engine and transmission together, plus a small eye in the left font of the cyl head could they both hold? Thanks so much, Gil.

You will need to use the engine lift points. One is usally on the front and the other on the rear. They are usually threaded into the head or the block.
IF that is what you are calling the suspension eye, then you should be fine. I have also seen short blocks installed using old head bolts, then the head installed after the block, using all new head bolts.
