3 grand for a 290k car? Have you seen the maintaince records? has the engine or tranny been rebuilt? Any rust?

How does it drive / handle on the road? What about Blow By?

Anything can last forever, as long as it's maintained like you want it to last forever.

I saw this car when they were asking $3900 back in June. Needless to say, it's still there....

I drove an '87 190D here locally and even with only 1st and 3rd gears it was a rocket. The trannies are an incredible weak point on these cars. (funny, by weak point I mean they almost always fail in the 150-200K range).
Hmmm, Richardson huh.........

IMO that car is priced high.

'87 190d turbo diesel in Austin

I have an '87 190 2.5 Turbo diesel down the road in Austin.

It has 214k and I just had the tranny rebuilt by the best indy in town (on the wise advise of many from this forum).

I am the 3rd owner and have not owned it very long, I have all the service records going back from both owners all the way back to the original window sticker.

I LOVE THIS CAR!

Fires right up and a joy to drive.

However, I have another kid on the way so could use something bigger, if you're really interested in something like this PM me.

Thumbs up

I've found more than one 300D '87s for that amount of cash... with 90K less miles.
