Rear window glass in a 1990 W126 fit 1983 W126?

I have a 1990 300SE running gasser parts car my body man is driving to his shop today. He is putting the mint leather interior and the 1990 dash into my 1983 300SD. The rear glass is delaminating in my 300SD. Will the rear glass and window moulding in the 1990 W126 chassis fit my 1983 300SD? He will be removing and repairing the rear window metal areas to fix any rust problems to stop the water coming into my trunk. We are also swapping over the 1990 tail lights and the rear bumper to my car. If the 1990 rear glass does not fit I remember reading a post that I could not find again searching the archives where someone found a good price on new glass for their older W126. I am buying a new OEM rear window gasket for this adventure. To prep the car for paint he will be removing the front and rear bumpers, front grill and the front lights, body trim and emblems and fixing the few small minor dents. Now the used Euro front lights will be going into my restomod. Anyway any suggestions for my locating a new rear glass will be a big help if the 1990 rear glass that is not delaminating does not fit my rear window. Thanks for reading this. John

I am looking to remove my rear glass to do some paint repair around the opening. I may opt to replace the gasket as well. I am curious if the pop out of this glass is as easy as other rubber gasket glass I have removed in the past?

Any word on the compatibility question of the OP?

I don't know but it would not surprise if they are all the same.

All different numbers. Which however still doesn't necessarily mean it won't fit.

The glass on my 78 300CD came out very easily, but I cut the inside lip of the gasket with a utility knife. I was worried about breaking it, but with this method very little force is required.
