Battery tie down

Last night I was poking around under the hood, and for grins decided to see if I could move the battery. I could!

It appears the tie down is missing. I do not know what it looks like, so I was wondering if any one had a picture of one and a part number so I could order one. I do not like the aftermarket type.

Thanks!

$46 for a block of plastic with a hole in it???

Go down to the "For Sale" forum and post a WTB ad for the blocks and screws. There are always some guys parting out 123's. A pair of these should be 5 bucks or so.

On my 81 300CD There are two sheet metal type clamps that clamp onto the bottom rail of the battery case. The battery case has a protruding lip if you will at the bottom edge. You should see two threaded holes at the front of the battery tray. These clamps are about 4 inches long and a bolt passes thru the middle of the clamp into the tray. No wrecking yards in your area?

I'm am an hour east of Dallas, and have not found a good yard nearby. There is plenty that have ricer and American parts. I did see one 123 CD in a yard, but it was there for about two days. When I went to get inquire about parts, some one had bought the whole car. I was too late. I have seen only 6 123's driving around in my area. So I guess mine makes it lucky number 7.
