Bosch part numbers

2 Attachment(s)
List your Bosch injection pump and hose part numbers here. That way all you have to do is get familiar with your local Bosch Distributor for the parts.

The first pic shows the o-rings that go on the hard hoses with the clip fittings on the ends. The black o-ring is one that came off the car and the blue ones are the new ones.

The second shows the part number for the injection pump distribution nozzle. These have to be torqued to 35 Nm based on the manual that MBDOC posted a pic of. The last three numbers are the ones stamped on your nozzle.

If anyone has the p/n for the white place u-shaped clips that hold these lines on it would be appreciated.

Edited to correct the torque requiremnet.

Why would you need part numbers before going to the distributor?

If anything I would have them find part numbers. That way if the parts are wrong they only have themselves to blame.

I hope to enlighten diy'ers that may consider the dealer know that these parts can be purchased at the local authorized Bosch distributor:). I was not able to get the correct size o-ring at the dealer:rolleyes:.

If you have the numbers off the side of the pump, then yes, they can tell you the p/n of the various parts. That is pretty much how I got them.

I believe that p/n's are a great idea.

Asking the staff to look up the proper part is fraught with risk...........at the M/B dealer..........or the Bosch dealer.

When I give a description to my brother...........who works at the dealer...........I'll get the correct part 75% of the time.........at best.

If I provide a p/n, the percentage climbs to 100%.;)

MB claims the delivery valve on the OM606.962 (turbo) with new crush washer and o-ring is torqued in 3 steps. 30nm, 30nm & 35nm. 45lbs is getting close to double that torque. Wonder who's right? I've got to do this next week.

I was given incorrect information. The correct torque is 35 Nm.
