Well I finally got all the parts I needed to put in my new headlights and headlight wipers. I got the wiper motors and arms from a parts car in Sweden, and had to drill a 1/2 in. hole for the wiper shaft to fit through. The rubber grommet for the shaft came from an old S class I found in a yard near me. I made the wiring harness up from the diagram in the Haynes manual and it works fine. I needed the old style washer tank so that I could have two washer pumps and was lucky enough to get one from bgkast for the cost of shipping plus a few bucks. I had an extra pump from a long gone parts car and wired it all up. The headlights are old style hella’s and from the package fit 9/79 to 8/82, they cast tons of light and have the vacuum adjustment that I wanted so much. I took the wire that is used for the US running light and moved it over to run the city lights. I needed washer nozzles for the headlight and was able to get 5 older style ones from a yard in Sweden. I was reluctant to drill into the bumper but in the end I did and threaded the holes to 7/16-20 (bumper is to thick for the nozzle to stay put) and put them into place. I took the 4 best I had and put them in and plumbed them to the other washer pump. I gave it a test and wouldn’t you know it, they worked without a problem at all. I hope these picts help anyone who want to do this sort of thing to their car.
