Not diesel related/Top 100 cars

Here's what looks like an interesting site with videos of a reviewers top 100 cars. DSL a must(I don't have) so I'll have to live vicariously through your reports. I'm sure there must be a Benz amongst the 100.

I agree with Clarkson about cars in general. Styling is no longer distinctive, plastic aplomb, less soul, etc.

I didn't expect many Mercedes to make the list according to the general criteria. There were a few, however. The R129 SL, the W140, and the first horseless carriage.

actually not including the 450SEL6.9 or its brother the 300SD or the lowly 220D and/or its sister and daugthers the 240D is kind of a big oversight.

In case of the 6.9 it was the most advanced sedan of its time. 20 years in advance in pretty much all aspect of technology (at least the Grosse 600 share a similar engine)...
The american spex W116 300SD is the first production turbo diesel car ever!!! just 2 year before it coming to the market the C111 was beating a speed record with the "same" engine.
And the lowly 220D and 240D open over the course of 20 years (1960-1985) the diesel flood gates in europe. Before their time diesels were virtually inexistant in the market.
