A great car ,the automatic trans wont find its final gear until fully warmed up,I now have to drive down the feeder of the freeway til the cars trannie reaches a degree of heat,is this a bad silinoid in the trannie?

Check your trans fluid level, It may be a tad low. My Volvo is leaking at the rear seal and does the same thing until I top it off.
