My spousal apparatus considered my 240D purchase of a few months ago to be my Christmas. Judging by the pair of house shoes and indoor/outdoor thermometer, she wasn't kidding......

I bought it for parts for my 380SEC and maybe do an engine swap, but the possibility of fixing it isn't off the table yet, waiting for my friend to come by and assess the damage on it first before deciding what to do with it.

I bought myself a new exhaust system from the cats back for my 1992 500E. Eliminated the resonator, 2 - 2.25" pipes from the cats to the Magnaflow stainless Y-Connector. 2.5" single pipe to the 5" X 11" Oval Stainless Magnaflow with 2 - 2.5" outs. Looks very clean, and cost me $200 for the labor at a small local muffler shop, did the job in 1 hour. The exhaust from the cats back was already removed at home. I bought the Y-Connector and Magnaflow from: justmagnaflow.com. I will post pictures later. Has nice low V-8 rumble at idle. Still quite at 75mph on freeway, and sounds like a monster when opened-up. Also cut-off and used the stock mounting bracket from the original muffler, welded onto the new Magnaflow, will show details in pictures later.
