A few euro head light questions

Should there be a bulb holder between the headlight reflector and the bulb for the headlight bulb? (Picture 1)

Where can I get a new lense and a few other parts for the old style lights?

Anybody know the bulb number for the city lights and head lights?

Thank you.

Thumbs up

That paperclip looking deal holds the bulb to the reflector.

Reflectors are $$$, about $60-80/ea... Apparently a mirror shop can redip them.

City light is just a 5w jobber if I recall, I just got a pair at McParts here. The main should be an H4.

oops, I meant lens, not reflector. USPS played soccer with these lights and busted the left lens ...I have edited the first post.

Just out of curiosity: Do you think it was only rotten handling, or a combination of rotten handling and substandard packing?

I have no particular affection for UPS, but man, have I seen some ghastly packing jobs, too!

The dealer has the lenses:

Hella: L= 123 826 1190 R=123 826 1290
Bosch:L=123 826 1590 R=123 826 1690

You might want to replace the seals to.

Hella: L= 123 826 0103 R=123 826 0203
Bosch:L=123 826 0303 R=123 826 0403N/A

The plastic adjustment parts are a no go I think.
No mention of them in the OTC that I have.

Head light bulbs are H4 and the city lights are H3(see pics).
Dealer has them to.

Louis.

No, the foglights are H3.

The "citylights," i.e. park lamps if present are T4W

It's easy to understand how foglights could be mistakenly called citylamps, as so many Americans drive with them on all the time.

They're for fog/rain/sleet/snow only.

It was the postal service and it was bad handling. The seams of the box were even split. It was insured for $100, but they said that I would only get "a maximim of $50" because only one was broken.

Any idea what the new lens will cost?

Edit: dealer says $101.

Yes, you're right.
I looked at the wrong one.
