Advancing = decreasing retard (or increasing advance.)
Retarding = decreasing advance (or increasing retard.)

LOL...Well if we were all pros that always got things perfect it wouldn't be near as much fun messing with this forum and these cars, sorta like not needing to be ashamed of a bent over nail unless your a professional carpenter
