Did you want the differential mount or the subframe mounts? The diff mounts are 124 352 77 65 .. they are the small cylindrical bushings that hold the diff to the frame (there is a third bushing in the front of the diff that is disc-shaped ... 124 351 13 42). The bigger mounts in the subframe bushing kit go between the subframe and car body ... for that there are two in the front and two in the rear.

Thanks for replies. Yes. I want the rear diff mounts that that little tool works on. . I'm getting very confused. I have part 124 350 0341. Some parts guy said that was the rear diff monts. Are subframe mounts and rear diff mounts same? But when I got em they don't look right. Does the same tool talked about in this thread work on all the bushings talked about here?

So 124 352 77 65 are diff mounts. Cheap too compared to subframe. Now I just need the tool. Cool.

I have to replace just the differential mounts on a 1987 300TD. Can someone confirm that the part #'s called out above are still correct:

I bought and used the tool pictured below to push out the old bushings. I pushed the bushing using part #1 out towards the front of the car into the cup formed by parts #2 and #3.
Is installation the reverse, i.e. pushing the new bushing using #1 into the carrier towards the rear of the car? |
