An uphostery question..
I know this is not a diesel-specific question BUT when I looked at how many viewers there were on the "Bodywork" forum, I thought there might be a better chance of getting an answer here! :D :) :D
Anywho... Can anyone give me some idea how to go about removing the bulkhead that stretches across the span of the roof that the sun visors attach to WITHOUT doing damage? I need to remove mine but am a little unsure how it attaches. Thanks for your help. |
Not real sure but your headliner should explain itself after outer trim and sun visors are removed. The trim along each windshield post. Use a pry tool and get in behind trim and pull gently, this should release your clips. You my lose a clip or two. Note, you may have to pull back weatherstrip to help out. If you have a compartment light treat it in similar fashion, remove lens and look for screws and a electrial disconnect. Some headliners also have button like clips that you can see on headlinner> don't forget to loosen or remove trim around top of door openings if needed. These are usually screwed in . Hope this helps. Good luck,300dman.

Thanks 300Dman for your response!
Anybody else have some insight to this removal? |
I took mine out, and I beleive all I did was remove the rear view mirror, and bothe sunvisors. After those are put, if i remember properly it shout drop out. I will double check the panel, I think theres about 4 clips that slide in forward.
