I did some reading lastnight in an OLD car'n'Driver. and I read the article about the 300SD. they went thru various things and when they got to the turbocharger, they described it as a Garret AiResearch T3

So which is it? I've never seen either Garret and AiResearch in the same sentence. I've always assumed there are three main manufacturers, Garret
(1), KKK(2), and AiResearch(3)

garret and air reasearch are the same turbo AFAIK. KKK is the other turbo.
