how does the fender on a 116 come off??

it seems glued with caulking. do I need to burn that stuff off with a propane torch or just try to cut/chizel it away for hours? in that case I'll junk the car...

You'll have to heat it up some way at first. Early W123s are like that too, luckily they stopped using that glue on the fenders in the early 80's.

haha well, I like this indestructible benz a lot. the engine has only 4 good cylinders and it's just an old car but it has no rust and runs sooo smooth!
I'm looking for a donor too actually
