Seat switch wire harness

How difficult is it to remove a seat switch harness? I found out one reason why my door panels seemed loose. someone had spliced the wires to the switch and that gob of wires is stopping the panel from sitting right. I have a donner car but I would like some information before I start taking things apart. Thanks.

I'd opt for cleaning up the wiring so it fits better over installing a new seat switch harness.

Anyway though, I think the wires in the door all run straight to the seat controller so other than pulling up the carpet maybe it's not a huge job.

Maybe you can go find an SD at the junkyard and explore the wiring to make sure you're not getting in over your head.
