Can you diagnose this car?
 

Still looking for a mercedes 300d in saint louis. if the car "running out of fuel" is correct, would the only thing you would need to do is make sure the battery is charged and the glowplugs working, and then put some diesel in it and use the primer pump? This car probably has a few other issues as well, plus some cosmetic issues. Could be just dusty, and a detailing could clean it up. What do you think this car would need to start, or does it just need fuel and to be primed and the seller does not know? And if anyone knows of a 300d for sale in saint louis, please drop me a PM, i'll be buying one soon now. Thanks

The filters could be clogged also. Watch out for used car dealers, they are notorious scumbags. If the car is in good shape that is a good price.

I find the story suspicious. If it was as simple as refueling and priming would the used car dealer not do such a simple task rathing than taking a big $$ hit by selling a non-running car.
The dealer could be stupid but I'm guessing he's not and he's looking for a stupid buyer.
