Water Pump REmoval

Hey guys!

I had a question...How do you remove the four fan bolts, connected to the fan, water pump and pulley assembly?

On a 1984 300sd

Seems like you need a vice grip and special tool. Wrench keeps slipping off.

Thanks.

Tony

You basically have to make a special tool. I took a 10 mm box-open end wrench and ground down the outer box side to where the circumference is thin enough to fit in that tight area.

Hope this helps.
