I have driven one a MWB(mid sized). Handles like a car. I would so drive a LWB every day if I could.

I have sat in one at the auto show....but never had the privilege to drive one, but I agree, I would drive one every day too! Its my future alternative to a overly complicated new MB sedan.

Actually with diesels EPA tests are somewhat accurate. If the mileage is really 26-30 mpg then i just found my next vehicle purchase.

Go to the Sprinter group at Yahoo. I don't think anyone is seeing those kind of numbers. Typically 22mpg I think.

I should have included that every Sprinter driver I spoke to stated 22mpg was the norm no matter how you drive it. This is pretty darn good considering the size, etc. RT

I just got a Sprinter!

I just bought a 02' Freightliner Sprinter from Portland Copart for $15,515.00 It was hit in the front right by a deer. It starts. My friend will fix it for $400.00 And I am buying the whole front end for only like $1,500. I hope it will be fixed soon. Mine is a high roof cargo van. It has some wood boards made to the sides of the inside of the cargo area so it wouldn't get scratched inside. These dodge and freightliners use a mercedes engine and transmission. The engine is 2.7L I-5 CYLINDER TURBO DIESEL. And the transmission is an auto stick. Soy can drive automatic, or shift manually. It is agreat vehicle. They can carry a lot of weight.
