W123 steering box leak?
Hello everyone. Can anyone provide me the exploded view of the steering box of a w123? I have an oil leak in the box and I'm planning to fix it myself. How hard will that be? I have access to the seals set for the steering box.
Thanks!! |

You won't listen to me on this but I am going to say it for others to think about...
You do not have the equipment to fix a steering box. So it would be putting lives at risk trying it. I do have a FSM...and I think the instructions are like 50 or 60 pages long... way too important to try and perhaps fail at.... It is the special pullers and go no go special tools which would cause me to avoid it. |

By the time you bought all the new tools, you paid more than the cost of a steering box. Check wrecking yards. Also Hemmings has a good list of MB parts places. Also, check w/Phil at FastLane.

Ok guys, thanks for the advice. Didn't knew it was that complicated.... I'll take it to a qualified shop.
Thanks! |
