Muffler is TOO big!

I'm sure the muffler on my car is not the same type it came from Germany with!

It appears to be one that is a little bit (ok, A LOT)oversize as it is just tooooo visible from the back and the drivers side. I really like every view angle of the car EXCEPT a driver's side view! The muffler is just huge behind the rear tire. Is it probable that the PO went the "cheaper" route and got one that "works" but not exactly OEM? I have not priced one myself but I believe I have read here that others have! Big $$$, I think.

I would really like to get one that does hang closer up to the underside than the one I have. Does this kind of thing bother anybody else or is it just me?!!:stupid:

Just put a straight pipe under there. The resonator up front does most of the work.

How's the sound? I imagine it would be louder right?

I can't really say exactly, I have NO mufflers. :D

From what I've read here it had a deeper rumble and a little more aggressive tone.

Cherry bomb!!!!

and keep the center resonator/muffler thing.

I drop my back muffler, str8 pipe added.

no change in sound.

the resonators eat up the sound so no worries on a straight pipe.
