1st Mileage Badge

When I got home yesterday, there was a note attached to my door that FedEx tried to deliver a package, but a signature is required. Ok, a call to FedEx told me the package is coming from MB. Well, they would not redirect the package to my work address so at 3 pm central time I will be going home to meet them.

Yeah! Finally here! I just wish MB would use UPS cause they will redirect the package...If I miss them today or tomorrow, then I will have to drive the FedEx place to pick it up, or else they send it back to MB...

That explains the mysterious note on my apartment door from Fex Ex awaiting me when I returned home yesterday. There are two boxes there for me. I applied for both the 250K and 500K badges about two weeks ago. Sweet I shall leave work early today to be sure and get to the office in time to get them.

I'll take a pic of mine and post it after I get it mounted.

The next time I will use my work address also.

Like the snow pic. Badge look great!

I wish I was getting two of them!

Just make sure you use your work address for shipping!

DANG! I just mailed out my application last week. I put my dad’s house as my address because that is where my car is registered... DAMN no one is ever home at my dad’s house.

I didn't fill out 2 applications, but I applied for my first badge at 500km I wonder if they will send me 2 because my first badge is the second "mile marker"

Danged FedEx!!!!

They freaking showed up an hour before I did! They did not leave a notice this time. I took off work and lost 2 hours pay because of this. I am pretty hacked now! I called the at 5:50 central time, and the told me they tried to deliver already. I was also told the shipper would have to authorize the redirect.

Kudos to MBUSA!!!! I called them and they are calling FedEx to redirect my package. I called 800-367-6372 and worked through the maze to get to a customer service rep. I wish all companies had this kind of support. I'm suprised that they are taking care of this so promptly, just for a freebie mileage badge. The next car I have to make payments on will be a newer MD diesel!

I'd stay with FedEx. At least it won't get lost. There seems to be a tendency to bash FedEx and I believe it's because they are successful at what they do. I had several pieces of $7000 equipment lost by UPS for a couple of months. Switched to FedEx and didn't have another problem. Most FedEx (and other delivery system) problems seem to come from a lack of communication between the shipper and the buyer as to how and when the delivery is to be made. Being a little careful about delivery method will forstall these kind of problems.

Did you have to pay for the shipment?

'nuff said.

Wes

Agreed....

All you have to do with FedEx is go to one of their offices and tell them you would like to sign a release form allowing them to leave the parcel without a signature. (That is if you feel comfortable with packages left on your front porch.) I've dealt with several shipping companies, over the past 15 years, and have to agree that FedEx is top notch.

Well, that is all well and good, but the delivery guy DID NOT leave a 2nd attempt notice.

Here is all that transpired. On Monday I got home and had a 1st delivery attempt waiting for me. I called FedEx to see about getting the package redirected. I did not know it was from MB. FedEx said they would not because a sig is required. I asked them who the shipper is. They told me it was MBUSA. I knew then it was the mileage badge. So I asked them when to meet the driver on Tuesday. They told me he is in my area around 3:30, so being there at 3 pm would be ideal in case he is early. I get home and wait. Wait some more. At 4 pm I call FedEx. They tell me the package is out for delivery. I wait until 5. I call again. Same thing. Package is out for delivery. I wait until 5:50. I call again. This time I am told an attempt to deliver was made at 4:15. WTF??? While I waited I was outside. I told them I am here, have been here and no one showed up. They put me on hold for a while, came back and then said...delivery attempt was at 2:15 pm. I asked why was I just told 4:15. They said they had looked at the time wrong and apologized. I also asked why was there not a notice on the door? They had no answer. They also said MB would have to change the delivery address.

Now, I called MB today, and guess what? Package is still going to be delivered to my house again, as FedEx told MB that MB's account does not allow redirection. So, why did FedEx lie to me? MB has this problem flagged and is waiting for a supervisor to check in to it. In the meantime still no badge.

Did I pay for shipping? Not directly, but I have now with two hours lost pay, time on the phone. So, how is the for 'nuff said?

Fed-Ex Ground sucks

Fed-Ex Ground is handled on the local level by locally-based subcontractors. They do a so-so job at best. I have had my packages left miles away from my home (even though properly addressed) or lost entirely. The main Fed-Ex air service is fine.
