Mercedes Diesel Engine Swap

I plan on putting a 3.0L 5 cylinder turbo diesel out of an 82 300D into an 86 jeep cherokee Ive seen a few things about it on other message boards but not to many that have done it and the ones that have dont it have limited informatoin on the details, the one thing that people seem to say is a problem is the front oil sump I didnt know if anyone had any experiance with fiting the sump around things or if its possible to rear sump or dry sump this engine that seems to be the only major hurdle Im going to have to overcome otherwise they say its an easy swap any input would be greatly apreciated

AWSOME!!!! That would be great...... I have seen a few people put them into older land rovers, the biggest problem I read about was a houseing from the engine to the transmission!
